TAX RELIEF APPLICATION DEFINITION
A tax relief application is an application whereby the South African Revenue Services can temporary or permanently writer off all or a portion of the taxes due to it. If a company is profitable except for the tax liability, one can approach SARS for a tax relief
BASIS FOR APPLICATION
Should a company be profitable except for the tax liability, SARS can compromise on the taxes due to it. It should be in SARS’s future interest to compromise on taxes. The main goal is to keep a tax payer and retain the business; the skills and economic benefit for South Africa.
FORMAT OF APPLICATION
There are numerous aspects that need to be covered in this application before SARS can legally entertain the application. Should SARS not be informed of all the requirements under the Tax Act, the application is substantially flawed and SARS may not grant temporary or permanent relief. We deal with all formalities as required by the Act.
